About the Role
We’re looking for someone to take the lead in establishing our QA/testing process in a buddy development environment. Day-to-day your role will be identifying bugs, reporting them, and ensuring they’re fixed. You’ll be doing manual testing primarily, pre-release and post release and writing test criteria to help guide our product feature specifications pre-code.
We’ll look to you to write tests and guidelines for products in our portfolio, as well as giving feedback on potential UX and usability improvements or considerations.
You’ll also keep on top of a portfolio of rapidly-evolving products at different stages of maturity, and providing feedback to help continuous improvement across the whole development process.
About You
You’ll be an expert in ensuring quality software outputs, preferably with SaaS experience, across the full software development cycle. You’ll know what the right combination of testing methods is to ensure a quality output, including testing for functionality, usability and accessibility, to make sure we’re constantly delivering user value regularly and often across a range of business deadlines.
Using your knowledge of best practice, you’ll be able to establish a QA/testing workflow within the team, keeping a log of team performance metrics, such as how many bugs/revisions over time and working with the development team to gradually reduce the numbers of defects over time by providing robust test criteria guidelines to work within.
You’re a self-starter, organised and able to work with a variety of colleagues and stakeholders to agree what quality looks like, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
The successful candidate in this role will be establishing our testing department - so the right candidate will need to be able to advise on what a quality testing process looks like, and then take the lead on implementing it and ultimately being responsible for it.
A knowledge of WCAG regulations and accessibility testing is a must.
